The Music of the Heart
Some of our favorite composers paid homage to their loves through music — as Mahler did for his wife Alma with the Adagietto of his Fifth Symphony. Others, most notably (and romantically) Beethoven, wrote letters to the object of their affection — like the one he wrote below that we share with you on Valentine’s Day:
